About
Upper East Dental Innovations is a state-of-the-art dental practice located on Manhattan's prestigious Upper East Side, specializing in comprehensive oral healthcare that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology with artistic excellence. The practice operates under the philosophy that dentistry is both a science and an art, where precision meets aesthetics to deliver transformative results for patients seeking superior dental care.[1]
Founded as a modern dental practice in New York City, Upper East Dental Innovations has established itself as a leader in innovative dental solutions. The practice is helmed by Dr. Sharde Harvey, D.D.S., M.S., F.I.C.O.I., a highly credentialed dentist whose expertise spans general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, implant surgery, and advanced restorative techniques. Dr. Harvey's educational background is exceptionally rigorous: she is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, where she completed an honors esthetics program focusing on full-mouth veneers comparable to those featured on television programs such as Extreme Makeover. Following dental school, she completed a one-year residency program at Long Island College Hospital and subsequently finished a two-year post-graduate program in implant surgery and prosthetics at NYU.[1]
The practice's mission centers on delivering aesthetic, superior outcomes through the application of advanced technology that enables more accurate and faster diagnosis of oral and overall health conditions. A hallmark of Upper East Dental Innovations is its signature offering: "The Lunchtime Crown," a permanent crown that can be completed during a patient's lunch hour, exemplifying the practice's commitment to efficiency without compromising quality.[1]
What distinguishes Upper East Dental Innovations from competitors is its unwavering commitment to patient experience and technological advancement. The practice utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technologies, including CEREC CAD/CAM technology for same-day restorations. During treatment, patients benefit from specialized protective eyewear to prevent discomfort from overhead lighting, and computer displays allow real-time visualization of dental conditions and treatment progress. This transparency and patient-centric approach has earned the practice strong patient satisfaction, with Dr. Harvey receiving a 4.36-star rating across 256 patient reviews on professional platforms, with 87% of patients expressing satisfaction with the provider.[4]
Dr. Harvey's credentials extend beyond general dentistry. She is certified in Invisalign (both Invisalign I and II), Botox administration for TMJ and headache treatment, and holds certification in CEREC CAD/CAM technology. Her professional affiliations include a position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and a clinical instructor role in the Department of Cariology and Comprehensive Care at New York University College of Dentistry, reflecting her standing as both a practitioner and educator.[1][4]
The practice has received recognition for its contributions to the community, including a City Council Citation for Exemplary Service to the Community of Manhattan in 2015, and a Certificate of Achievement in Aesthetic Dentistry in 2004.[4] Upper East Dental Innovations operates as a medical group practice specializing in dentistry, open five days per week, and offers multilingual services in English, French, and Spanish to serve its diverse patient population.[2]
Patient testimonials highlight the practice's strengths: patients appreciate the detailed explanations provided by Dr. Harvey, the accommodating reception staff who explain insurance coverage thoroughly, and the overall professional yet comfortable environment. The combination of technical expertise, artistic vision, and patient-focused service creates a comprehensive dental experience that addresses both functional and aesthetic dental needs.

Customer Reviews
I had a lovely experience with Dr Harvey at her office on 60th Street. She is very gentle, detail oriented and throughly took her time to explain the bigger picture of my teeth health. I am very pleased with my experience here and I would recommend all my family/friends and colleagues to come visit her office ! Huge shoutout to the front desk/technician Paola for taking extra care of me when I arrived! 10/10 and I’m definitely coming back !
Thank you Dr. Harvey for being a 10/10 dentist and caring, thoughtful, intelligent, hard working, detail oriented honest and trustworthy dentist! I feel so lucky to have you as my dentist not just to take wonderful care of my teeth and dental hygiene but also as someone I look forward to seeing and connecting with in each visit. Also, bravo for putting together a wonderful team of support to help your office run smoothly with professionalism and kindness. ❤️🙏🏼
I can’t recommend Dr. Harvey enough! She is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had — professional, gentle, and incredibly thorough. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a staff that truly cares. Dr. Harvey takes the time to explain everything, making sure I feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. Every appointment has been a great experience! If you’re looking for a dentist who truly goes above and beyond, Dr. Harvey is the one!
UPDATE: Got a call from the receptionist at this practice saying that my insurance payment came in $25 less than they expected but they will waive the difference if I removed this negative review. (See transcript of the voicemail- she told me to remove the negative review when I called her back).
Very unethical and second rate behavior. Do not go here.

Kind of a shady practice and pushy with treatments. They will not release your X-Ray to you without paying a fee.
Tried to book my next appointment with me without confirming my insurance covered it. They also refused to confirm the appointment on Opencare denying me the benefits of booking my appointment through that portal.
Decided to go somewhere else.
AVOID, READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS - I came here for a routine checkup, the doctor told me I needed to get a bunch of things done. This sounded strange to me given my uneventful dental history. I went to a different doctor for a 2nd opinion and they were SHOCKED, 95% of the procedures that had been suggested to me were completely unnecessary. The only exception being a new night guard!!
This practice is just looking to max out your dental insurance and then get you to pay a bunch of money out of pocket. Go at your own risk.
