For many of us visiting the dentist isn't a fond memory or appointment we are eager to keep. Dr. Austin's natural welcoming energy is her superpower. Combine that with her years in practice and constant training in the latest procedures an appointment with her is more spa like more self care than any dentist experience I've ever had before. Dr. Austin's asked questions related to my lifestyle and dental goals, she provided several options that would allow her to deliver the best final result. She explained how the perfect white smile is subjective based on skin tone, lighting and lipstick for example. That in the world of cosmetic dentistry the best outcome begins with exploring options best for each patient and her lifestyle/dental goals. It was the first time i can remember truly feeling heard by a dentist. I'm looking forward to the next steps in my healthy smile journey guided by Dr. Austin's experience and expertise.

I never thought I’d be the one writing a review about getting veneers—especially at my age (72!). But thanks to my daughter, Dr. Catrise Austin, and the amazing team at VIP Smiles, I’m proud to say I now have the smile I always dreamed of… without any pain, shots, or drilling! I was honestly scared to do anything cosmetic to my teeth. I didn’t want them shaved down and wasn’t sure it was even worth it at my age. Worst Dental Experience - Disorganized, Unprofessional and Erratic Behavior! This review is based on my personal experience as a patient of Catrise Lynette Austin, DDS, VIP Smiles Dentistry. I gave a great deal of thought to writing this review, and hesitated for quite some time. However, after much reflection, I felt that it was important to not only share my experience with Catrise Lynette Austin, but to encourage others to do their homework before working with her. The behavior I encountered from Catrise Lynette Austin, was not just unprofessional, but truly alarming, as she became irate, unhinged and completely reprehensible for a medical professional, upon learning that I terminated her services. No patient should have to endure such substandard and poor treatment from a dentist that promises to deliver high quality customer care. My experience with Catrise Austin was so horrific that I literally terminated her services within less than 24 hours. Within 24 hours of installing temporaries, they not only became very loose, but one fell off completely shortly thereafter, leaving one tooth completely exposed. Despite bringing this to her immediate attention the very next morning, she was dismissive and made many excuses for not correcting the subpar work. Having loose and missing temporaries caused significant pain and I had difficulty chewing. It also left my exposed teeth vulnerable to infection, decay and fracture. Furthermore, she is extremely unorganized and has no staff to assist patients. She falsely claimed to have two offices, but in reality she leases dental space rather than running a dedicated dental practice I voiced my concerns that her practice was chaotic, and with no staff, she appeared to be haphazard, and angry. Beyond my experience, several patients reported similar complaints citing her unprofessional behavior, disorganization and poor business practices. One patient publicly wrote as a google review the following: "Dr Austin is flying by the seat of her pants..shes disorganized.” This is just one example from a patient that echoed my personal experience with Catrise Lynette Austin. She even went as far to try to encourage me to file a complaint against another dentist, and provided a list of several agencies to do so without solicitation . However, she never mentioned that there was a formal patient complaint publicly listed against her with one of those same agencies in which she was sanctioned and fined. Catrise Lynette Austin has breached her duty of care by violating standard care protocols, resulting in significant harm and privacy violations, malicious intent, failing to provide proper forms, while making disparaging and grossly false statements. I strongly encourage anyone that considers working with her to do their research, as everyone deserves professionalism, honesty and high quality patient care. After leaving a very honest review about my actual experience working with Catrise Lynette Austin, she responded with many false and misleading statements. All of my statements can be documented and validated. It truly reflects poorly on Ms. Austin and will serve as documentation of her continued pattern of making false and defamatory statements. My experience is on par with the other negative reviews that have been posted against VIP Smiles-Catrise Lynette Austin, as we have all had very similar experiences. I have no reason to lie about my experiences; and again, it can all be documented. .
