About

Zen Dentistry Union Square presents a revolutionary approach to dental care in the heart of New York City, though it is important to note that as of the latest available public records and directory listings, a dental practice precisely under this name and address (200 Park Ave S Ste 1414) cannot be independently verified as an established, long-term business entity. The following introduction is a conceptual profile based on the aspirational model its name suggests, illustrating what such a practice in this location would embody.\n\nIn the bustling, high-stress environment of Manhattan, the concept of 'Zen Dentistry' promises a paradigm shift, merging exemplary clinical dentistry with a serene, patient-centered experience designed to alleviate the common anxiety associated with dental visits. Ideally located just steps from Union Square Park, a hypothetical Zen Dentistry Union Square would be founded on the principle that oral health is intrinsically linked to overall well-being. Its mission would be to provide not just treatment, but a holistic, calming journey that respects the patient's time, comfort, and individuality. The philosophy would be to transform the dental office from a place of apprehension into a sanctuary of care.\n\nThe history of such a practice would likely be rooted in a founding dentist's frustration with the impersonal, assembly-line nature of many corporate dental clinics. The vision would be to create a boutique practice where technology and compassion operate in harmony. The space itself, in a prestigious Park Avenue South building, would be meticulously designed with minimalist aesthetics, soothing colors, noise-canceling headphones, aromatherapy, and perhaps even guided meditation options to create a truly zen atmosphere. The core expertise would lie in general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, but delivered with a level of attentiveness that makes each patient feel like the sole focus.\n\nWhat would set this business apart is its unique value proposition centered on 'mindful dentistry.' This goes beyond mere customer service to incorporate principles of mindfulness into every interaction—from the gentle, explanatory approach of the clinical team to the design of the treatment plan. The practice would likely invest in the most advanced, low-stress technology available, such as intraoral cameras for patient education, laser dentistry for minimally invasive procedures, and digital scanners to eliminate messy impressions. The team would be chosen not only for their clinical proficiency but for their empathetic communication skills.\n\nA key differentiator in the competitive Union Square area would be its commitment to transparency and education. Patients would be active participants in their care, with detailed discussions about options, risks, and benefits without any high-pressure sales tactics. The practice would aim to build lifelong relationships based on trust, focusing on preventive care to maintain optimal health rather than merely intervening when problems arise. For a neighborhood filled with professionals, students, and families, the convenience of online scheduling, clear communication, and efficient yet unhurried appointments would be a major attractor. In essence, Zen Dentistry Union Square would represent the future of dental care: where advanced science meets human-centric design and profound respect for the patient experience, aiming to set a new standard for what a visit to the dentist can and should be.

Dr. Gordon is upbeat, pleasant and professional. He insured that I was comfortable and that I unstood the treatment I was receiving. He took time to render care to me and my son. I fully appreciate his service and have and will recommend him to others.

This office truly goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and get you to where you have to be. All staff members were incredibly kind but the hygienist was truly marvelous. I’ve never been excited to go back to a dentist

I usually do not write reviews, but I was compelled to do so given my recent experience at this office. I have been at this office for years (even prior to the acquisition by Zen Dentistry back in 2022) and always enjoyed the clinicians and staff. However, over the past several months, the quality of service has significantly eroded: 1. Dental insurance benefits are incorrectly applied by office staff, resulting in erroneous out of pocket cost that you have to subsequently chase to be reimbursed. 2. 30min wait times despite confirming the appointment a day before, and arriving early. 3. When I attempted to escalate my concerns, I was treated rudely by office staff, and ignored for weeks asking to be contacted back. Only Krystal has been professional and respectful throughout the years. I HIGHLY suggest you find a different office for your dental needs~

0 stars if I could: I don’t write reviews, but I am certainly writing on my poor initial experience. Received a missed call, returned the call and left a voicemail for a call back due to unclear message left from Zen Dentistry. Never received a call back and got in contact after a second call. Greeted by an incredibly rude receptionist demanding forms and items I wasn’t aware I needed until spoken to on the phone, then later texted to me. No patience and barraided as I try to understand what was needed from my insurance - my company recently got acquired and i’m figuring out new benefits. Receptionist’s tone with me was horrible and decided to ask if I could cancel my appointment. Was informed I needed to do it through ZocDoc and I said thank you, but they hung up without a word. Extremely disappointed and would rather walk a little further for better service.
