About

Aibel Endodontics is a specialized endodontic practice serving the Albany, New York, community from its conveniently located office at 4 Executive Park Drive. Focused exclusively on the diagnosis and treatment of dental pulp and periapical conditions, the practice has built a reputation for combining clinical precision with compassionate, patient-centered care. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry dedicated to saving natural teeth through root canal therapy and related procedures, and Aibel Endodontics places this principle at the heart of its work. The practice was established with the mission to provide exceptional endodontic treatment in a comfortable and welcoming environment, ensuring that every patient who walks through the doors receives not only superior clinical outcomes but also a positive, anxiety-free experience. Over the years, Aibel Endodontics has become a valued referral partner for general dentists throughout the Capital Region, offering advanced solutions for cases ranging from routine root canals to complex retreatments and surgical procedures.

The practice’s core mission is to relieve tooth pain, preserve natural dentition, and promote long-term oral health. Every aspect of the patient experience is designed around these goals. From the moment a patient arrives, the team works to ease concerns, explain procedures clearly, and provide individualized treatment plans. Aibel Endodontics understands that many people feel anxious about root canal therapy, so the practice prioritizes gentle techniques, effective local anesthesia, and clear communication at every step. The staff are committed to making each visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible, using modern technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.

In terms of expertise, Aibel Endodontics focuses entirely on endodontic care. This specialization means that the clinicians have extensive experience in treating conditions such as infected tooth roots, cracked teeth, dental trauma, and failed previous root canals. They employ state-of-the-art equipment, including dental operating microscopes, digital radiography, and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), to diagnose and treat conditions with remarkable precision. The use of a surgical microscope allows for better visualization of the tiny canals within the tooth, enabling thorough cleaning and sealing of even the most complex root canal systems. CBCT imaging provides three-dimensional views that help identify fractures, unusual anatomy, and periapical pathologies that might be missed on traditional X-rays. This advanced technology directly translates to higher success rates and more predictable outcomes.

Aibel Endodontics offers a comprehensive range of endodontic services. These include conventional root canal therapy for infected or damaged teeth, endodontic retreatment for teeth that have previously undergone a root canal but have failed to heal fully, apicoectomy (root-end surgery) to remove infection from the tip of the root, treatment of traumatic dental injuries such as displaced or fractured teeth, management of cracked tooth syndrome, and emergency care for severe tooth pain. The practice is equipped to handle both adult and pediatric cases, and the team works closely with referring general dentists to ensure seamless continuity of care.

What truly sets Aibel Endodontics apart is its unwavering dedication to excellence. The combination of advanced technology, a specialized focus, and a compassionate approach makes the practice stand out in the Albany dental community. Patients are treated as individuals, not cases, with effort made to preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible. Referral dentists trust Aibel Endodontics for accurate diagnoses, effective treatment, and reliable communication. This commitment to quality and patient satisfaction has made the practice a cornerstone of endodontic care in New York’s Capital District.

Aibel Endodontics also understands that managing pain and staying informed are top priorities for patients. The practice offers clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions, responsive follow-up care, and a calm, professional atmosphere designed to reduce dental anxiety. Whether a patient has been referred by their dentist or is seeking immediate relief for a toothache, Aibel Endodontics stands ready to deliver expert care. The practice’s reputation is built on positive patient experiences, clinical innovation, and an abiding respect for the patient-dentist relationship. I was referred to Aibel Endodontics by my general dentist after they discovered a cracked tooth. I was sent here to determine whether a root canal would be possible. After scans were performed, Dr. Aibel clearly and kindly explained that while he was glad I was not in significant pain, the location and severity of the crack meant a root canal would have a 100% chance of failure. He honestly told me he would not recommend doing a procedure that would not succeed long-term and instead recommended I see an oral surgeon for an extraction. Although I was disappointed to hear I couldn’t save the tooth with a root canal, I truly appreciated his honesty and integrity. It was obvious he was focused on what was best for my health, not just performing a procedure. He recommended that I see Dr. Robert Doriot (who is every bit as excellent as Dr. Aibel). The entire staff was also extremely helpful and kind. As I was taking in the news, one of the front desk receptionists took a moment to offer reassurance and comfort, which meant a lot since this was my first experience dealing with something like this. Even though I didn’t end up needing treatment here, I left very impressed and confident in the care I received. If I ever need endodontic treatment in the future, I would not hesitate to come back. Thank you for your help and recommendation.

I was a first timer at the endodontist and nervous … the office and technicians were so supportive. Dr. Moshman was able to correct the diagnosis of the injury I had to my face and I am so grateful for that. I highly recommend this practice … excellent and professional Amy Riddell

Dr Moshman (and his dental assistant Liz!) did my root canal and I can honestly say this was one of the best dental appointments I have ever had. They were super professional, the process was quick even though I had a more complex tooth and after only two days the soreness from the procedure was completely gone. I cannot recommend this practice enough. They told me I was doing well and complimented each others work as they were going which only left me feeling encouraged. Thank you!

I am claustrophobic and get anxiety from going to the dentist. I knew I would have the dental dam on my mouth and that petrified me. Dr Moshman and Nadia were AMAZING to say the least. They reassured me many times I will be able to breath thru nose and sides of mouth. They also tell you to relax your open mouth several times during the procedure, which helps a lot. I never felt claustrophobic or any gag reflex! Dr Moshman is so professional and he has a sense of humor to relax you. Nadia, I can’t say enough about you! You are kind, professional and you were my cheerleader the whole way thru. Please please do not hesitate if you need a root canal to go to this practice. And, I have very little after pain that can’t be managed with Tylenol. Thank you 🙏 to this practice ❤️

I had a root canal done at a different office and the post and crown fractured. I would really like to see a specialist. My general dentist told me that she does not believe the tooth can be saved and recommended that I get an implant. However, before making that decision, I would like a specialist to evaluate the tooth. I called to schedule an appointment, but when I spoke with Tori, the new receptionist, she (receptionist) told me that after reading the referral she did not think there was anything they could do for me. She said I could still come in if I wanted to, but that there would likely be nothing they could do. I explained that I had a CT scan done today and that I would like the doctor to review it. Tori, who is not a radiologist, said the quality would be lower than what they do in their office and told me that I could not have a consultation without doing a CT scan there. I would absolutely be willing to repeat the CT scan at their office if the doctor felt it was necessary, but I was simply hoping to have the specialist review my situation first. If after reviewing my case the doctor did not feel comfortable trying to save the tooth, I do not understand why I would need additional radiation and spend $450 on another test. My issue is that the post and crown from my root canal fractured, and I am looking for a specialist evaluation to see if the tooth can be repaired. However, Tori repeatedly told me that if I did not need a root canal I should not come to the office. I was only looking for a diagnosis from a specialist, but she told me I did not need one after reading the referral and speaking with my general dentist, who is not an endodontist. I have to say I felt very disappointed by this interaction. This review is only about the receptionist. Dr. Aibel helped my husband with a very similar situation about 10 years ago, when my husband had also been told his tooth could not be saved. Unfortunately, this experience with the receptionist discouraged me from seeking care at this practice.
