Customer Reviews
Dr Taranto is meticulous in his attention to detail. I was a patient for many, many yrs. I recently returned to NY and needed to be seen as soon as an appointment could be scheduled. His office staff is remarkable, found an appointment for me and Dr Taranto resolved my tooth issue. In all the years that I was his patient I found him to be skilled, patient and compassionate.
As a new patient, I was extremely impressed. Dr. Taranto and his staff provided excellent services across the board. I highly recommend this office!

Dr. Taranto and his staff are incredibly professional and friendly. Highly recommended
As a new patient seeking a long-term dental provider, I had high hopes for Dr. Robert N. Taranto’s office based on the practice’s online presence. Unfortunately, my experience was one of the most discouraging interactions I’ve ever had with a healthcare provider. I take full accountability for being late to my appointment. I had a sudden change in my availability and respectfully reached out within 12 minutes of my scheduled time to communicate this and ask whether I could still be seen later that day—or if rescheduling was necessary, I was more than willing to do so. I even clearly apologized for the inconvenience and acknowledged the misstep. What I received in return was not a professional or courteous response, but rather a rigid and dismissive tone. I was informed—without any prior warning or mention of policy—that because I was a new patient and reached out late, they could not reschedule me at all. The message went so far as to suggest that a “larger dental practice may be a better fit” for me, essentially telling me to look elsewhere rather than trying to preserve the patient relationship or offer any grace. The tone used in the messages came off unnecessarily cold and condescending. There was no compassion, no willingness to offer understanding, and certainly no effort to treat me as a valued potential patient. Even after I again expressed my apology and asked if this was a policy I had somehow overlooked, I was met with defensive and snarky replies rather than helpful or empathetic communication. This experience told me everything I needed to know about how this office treats people. Mistakes and miscommunications can happen, especially with new patients navigating policies they haven’t yet experienced—but how a practice responds says everything. This office chose rigidity over kindness, and alienation over problem-solving. If you’re looking for a dental provider that values professional, respectful communication and is willing to treat patients like people, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of practices that understand the importance of building trust and rapport, especially with new patients. Sadly, this was not one of them.
