Dr. Choi is a friendly, personable, skilled professional. I have had a number of dental procedures ranging from teeth cleaning, laser treatments, and implants. All procedures have turned out well. The staff is friendly and the office including the patient rooms are clean. I highly recommend this periodontist!

Over the years I have had quite a lot of expensive bridge work in my mouth. When a potential disaster struck(ie losing my teeth) Dr. Choe was recommended to me. It isn’t an exaggeration to say he saved my life and my teeth. He told me I had to stop smoking with such conviction and care, that the cigarette I had the night before that visit, was my last!! Then his great team (Robin, his dental assistant is a star!) helped me with complicated gum procedures, and great aftercare to maintain and improve what I have. All of his staff are really good! I can’t say enough good things about his excellent practice. Dr. Choe is not an alarmist, but he is thorough. I feel secure completely that I am receiving the BEST care at his practice. I have had a lot of dental experiences in NYC, Hudson and now Albany. I can say - Dr Choe is the real deal. If you need to see a periodontist- call his office!

Albany Periodontics is the best. The office is modern, extremely clean, staff are very knowledgeable, receptive & professional. They are also current on new treatments for gums. If you have any anxiety regarding dental care then you must go to Dr. Choe. I had LANAP therapy & Dr. Choe was extremely patient, used breathing & other techniques to calm me. I wish I had found him years ago. Before visiting Dr. Choe i lost a tooth & was on the verge of losing others. Since visiting Dr. Choe my condition has been stable & staff at the regular dentist (I alternate cleanings with a different dentist that takes insurance) always comment how well my gums & teeth are. This is due to Dr. Choe & his staff. If you cannot afford to visit regularly then you should go at least once, explain your situation & ask what you can do to save your teeth. I learned about stim u dent toothpicks there & they sell the best toothbrush (sonicare 4700) . They do not push sales so you may need to ask for it. Or buy it online.

Dr. Choe's practice is a very friendly, caring and professional one. A patient is put at ease by everyone there, and that is essential for folks like myself who tend to get nervous. Dr Choe himself is extremely dedicated to keeping patients pain free. He is also very generous with his time, giving thorough explanations of why a procedure is needed, how many stages it involves, and what a patient should do for optimal recovery and self care going forward. He is very interested in patient comfort, as shown by his willingness to be contacted after hours if there are questions or concerns. My four step procedure was made easy for me. I am very glad I chose this practice.

Dr.Alexander Choe and his staff, especially Kylie, my hygienist, have been so friendly and kind to me. They help me to relax during procedures, explaining beforehand and throughout my visit what I may expect. They are extremely pleasant, patient and empathetic. I have had negative dental work experiences in my lifetime, and have had high anxiety bordering on panic attacks at times. Dr.Choe performed involved procedures on me, and I felt safe and calm after being administered numbing medication. He works with you and never rushes the procedure so you feel like it is being done at a comfortable pace that you have helped set. Kylie is thorough with her cleaning techniques. She constantly makes sure I am comfortable before she proceeds. She listens and answers each question professionally so I know exactly how I may improve my dental care. She has helped me to tailor a personalized program at home and the doctor has seen positive results. I highly recommend if you need involved dental work to come to Dr. Choe. You won’t be disappointed.
