I always appreciate thoughtful and professional approach of Dr.Abele and his team. And I was very happy that my recent visit clearly and promptly identified the problem. After reviewing the panoramic X- ray, he and his assistant Kathy recommended a simple, conservative treatment plan without unnecessary procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Abele and his outstanding support staff. I am 82 and due to many moves I have seen many dentists and Dr. Abele is , by far, the best dentist I have known! His ability and range of skills are extraordinary. He is also efficient, brief, accommodating and has a very pleasant manner. When I first saw him many years ago, I had already been to six dentists before coming to him for needed work on a painful tooth. None of the other dentists could get me anesthetized and all insisted that my painful tooth with the cavity needed a root canal and crown (I don’t recall now the details on why the tooth was so compromised.) Dr. Abele was my last hope. He not only immediately solved the anesthesia problem (the nerve that needed anesthetizing was not in the usual location) but he also fixed the cavity without the need for a root canal and crown. The staff, the equipment, the ambiance, the professionalism are also of the highest quality. And kindness is a natural part of all the interactions there. I cannot recommend Dr. Abele, and his technical and office support staff, more highly. When he retires, he will be sorely missed.

I have been a patient for over 40 years. Dr Abele and the team are incredibly good at what they do. I cannot imagine going anyplace else.

What a great office! I have dental anxiety due to past terrible experiences. The staff practice ‘active listening’ and make you feel at ease and comfortable. The Dr. explains the procedures so you understand the process and the office staff are happy to assist with getting estimated out of pocket costs and insurance information.

My experience with Dr. Abele occurred some time ago when the was no outlet for posting reviews online. Dr. Abele agreed to accept $600 a month for a number of root canals and crown. Later, he unexpectedly raised the monthly payment to $700! He had also done the crowns first by mistake, all of which prompted me to pay the remaining balance, and to quit seeing him. Later, a nasty letter from his receptionist "reminded" me that many patients were eager to see him, and that he was doing me a rare favor by allowing me to pay in installments. I'm now very well off but wouldn't go back to his office for anything! Consumers beware: In many circles Delmar, for all its "charm," has a bad rep for mercenary docs, vets, and dentists.
