I’m going to start this out by saying,if you need a “GREAT” family dentist, Dr Richard Thayer is your guy! I remember as a kid in the 70’s getting a needle to numb my tooth area to be fixed. It hurt like hell. Very rarely do I feel the needle from Dr Thayer. Honestly. Maybe just a small prick. Not like the Drs office when they say it will only hurt a little and then you scream in agony. He’s caring, gentle and more caring. I cannot give him enough praise. He’s been our family dentist for about 27 years and most my one side of our family uses him and for years longer than us. My sister and kid, aunts,uncles, and cousins. My mom and dad used him til they moved just a few years ago. My adult kids still use him as they did from their first tooth. He cares so much that he WILL respond to your calls on a Sunday, like he just did for me. While he was at a big outdoor event. He takes the time. If our surgeons/Drs and family practioners cared as much, we’d be healthier for sure. We think of Dr Thayer as family and always will! Again, if you need the best dentist in our area, maybe the U.S, call Dr Richard Thayer. He is everybodies guy for dentistry. I truly mean this. The guy Rocks. And the staff are always happy there. They all make you feel welcomed.

I grew up going to Dr. Thayer. Which I think says a lot about his gentleness because I have absolutely no fear of the dentist. I unfortunately haven’t seen him in years because I moved out of state. I have tried 3 new dentists since and I’ve given up on finding one as good as him. Seriously, you don’t know what you got ‘til it’s gone.

Most unprofessional dentist I have ever encountered in my 6 decades of life. He actually laughed and ridiculed my teeth because I'm missing back teeth and asked me if I chew like a beaver to the entertainment of several chuckles.I didn't see the humor.

He seems like a very nice guy and it's true he is very good at giving the shots and drills like a pro. Unfortunately, the reason he is so "good" is because he drills so often even when it's not necessary. I had one cavity in 23 years until I went to this guy. Then I seemed to have a cavity at every visit. I even changed to a sonicare toothbrush and began flossing obsessively after every meal. I finally realized as I never felt any issues and he continued to find cavities that it was time to switch. Its been 10 years and have not had a cavity since. I only hope others don't go through the same experience. You only get one set of adult teeth and must protect them from more than just cavities.
