I received excellent dental care as well as friendly and efficient service from the front desk. That made me more comfortable having my dental appointment. She greeted me very politely and her overall demeanor made me less anxious about seeing the dentist.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Facility is new, clean and modern. I wish they were able to accommodate my pain needs more effectively but it is what it is.

First off, 5 stars for Justice. He was quick, professional, and organized. Also props to him for being a slightly optimistic Miami heat fan. The reason for my 2 star review, however, is because of the wait times. I showed up early, completed my paperwork and such prior to my appointment, etc.. Over 30 minutes elapsed from the time my appointment “started” to the time I was brought back by the tech to start x-rays and such. Once all that was done, I was taken back and waited like another 20 minutes for the dentist to come back and look at my teeth for like 3 minutes. Not knocking him for being quick (I’m sure he’s very skilled and experienced), but he was pretty short and emotionless lol. Anyhoo, the appointment ended and I had to wait another 20 minutes to talk with someone to check out and get quotes for fillings and schedule a cleaning. Their next cleaning available was 9 months out, so I scheduled it 🤷‍♂️. But overall everyone was fairly friendly, so that makes up for a lot

Appointment was made through the call center. I expressed that I wouldn’t have active insurance through TRICARE United Concordia until Aug. 1st and they said no biggie, just call us to confirm Aug. 1st. Aug. 1st my appointment was canceled so I rescheduled for Aug. 5th. Aug. 4th, I verbally confirmed my appointment with the call center before being transferred to the Balltown Office for further confirmation. The same day, I got a message at 5pm saying I needed to call the office. I called the office on the 5th (day of appointment) and was met by the rudest woman. Wish I heard her name if she said it. Cut me off trying to explain the situation to ask for my name and DOB. Again, tried to explain for her to cut me off and tell me that ONLY ACTIVE DUTY TRICARE members are covered, not spouses or their children. I am unsure how this policy is allowed if I am fully covered by TRICARE United Concordia? When I originally called, I expressed how badly I needed this appointment due to tooth pain and they mentioned no specificities about my insurance. It seems there is improper training and a low bar set for professionalism. Will not be returning or recommending.

I had a tooth emergency over the weekend on 4/30/26. My filling fell out. I went to Aspen Dental Albany Monday afternoon. The Dentist came in and looked in my mouth for 5 minutes, pooked around and proceeded to tell me what he recommended I get done. As soon as he was done he walked out with no consolation about my condition and the recommended treatment. He added on other treatments of $2,500 besides extraction of the broken tooth without asking me about my insurance and what I wanted done. They just offered me to finance the services on their credit card payment program. I declined and the bill dropped to $500. They were trying to get me to do a deep cleaning on my gums which seems to be the go to for this place. I have an exposed nerve and he said he was going to send in penicillin and ibuprofen for the pain. He didn't call it in and I became very sick the following day. I called the following day and they said they would call it in. The doctor didn't. I called again the next day and was told the same thing, they would call it in. The following day which was this Friday it still wasn't called in. I spoke with this office at 4:00pm and she said that both prescriptions were just sent in a few hours ago despite the pharmacy saying it didn't receive it yet. Then this office only called in one prescription my penicillin and not the ibuprofen. They couldn't get me my penicillin for over a week and still haven't sent in my ibprophen. This is negligence on the Doctor and admin office and there is zero chance I will have any work done here after this treatment.
