As someone who is on the spectrum and struggles with personal service appointments such as the dentist and doctors, I avoided them in the same way one would with a plague, staying far far away. But over time my health ended up catching up to me, fast. This was at the same time I moved back home to New York and was ready to start my journey of exposure therapy with the medical field, and my first stop was the dentist. I was introduced to this amazing and talented crew back in 2023 and have stuck by them ever since. The patience, kindness, and understanding nature of this office and all the staff inside made me feel the safest I've ever felt, in a place that causes major anxiety and fear. If anyone else struggles in these same ways, I recommend loudly and proudly with my entire chest the East Greenbush DeSantis Dental Care office !!!!!
Wow!!! What an amazing experience. Dr.DeSantis got me in quickly after I cracked my tooth. Not only was it painless but it was completed in roughly 1 hour. First, a scan was taken of my teeth so that i didn’t have to have the old fashioned impression done that makes me gag. The zirconia crown was milled before my eyes in less than 1/2 hour. The color and the fit were perfect. This is definitely the way to go if you need any dental work. The whole dental team is friendly and so helpful. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Excellent!!!
Excellent practice. Dr. DeSantis is very knowledgeable and informative. He explains everything very well to you. He is kind and his staff is as well. He always puts me at ease. He is very skilled and does a great job. Honestly, I just feel like they actually care about you. When your lying in that dental chair you want a dentist you can trust.
Wish I could give it zeros stars! I have been attending this dental office for a number of years, and they do know my family well. Recently, a relative was seeking dental work for an urgent procedure. To begin, my relative felt belittled and an inconvenience to this dentist. Dr. DeSantis said he was doing my relative a "favor" by booking the appointment urgently and early in the morning. He stated a follow up procedure would be needed in 3-6 months and later stated it could be done in two weeks. When questioned how this could be my relative asked just for clarification for the procedure, Dr. DeSantis then became irate and condescending. A week or so after this initial incident, I personally had my normal 6 month dental cleaning. Dr. DeSantis came in to check my status and I then politely and respectfully asked him if there was a verbal altercation between him and my relative, he then exhibited child-like behavior and had a full blown tantrum in response to my question. He then stormed out of the room claiming he was “done with me and my family” and to “remove us from the system”. He then proceeded to be condescending with me as well calling me names and belittling my intelligence. In my opinion, he was very disrespectful and unprofessional towards me, who has been a patient for years at his office. Overall, I left in tears and traumatized by his behavior and professionalism. Beware of choosing this dentist!
