I have PTSD. My counselor her name is Lauren. She went Bob and beyond to help me and to have me understand what I was going through. She's very lovable compassion and very concerned. I've been through many counselors and she's the one I'm not trade in for nothing. And I also have an aunt she's 76 Matthew is her primary doctor. My aunt has a lot going on with her diabetes and many more health issues. Even the office upstairs and downstairs they have been amazing... And they always have a smile I think that helps us because we know somebody cares thank you so much.. as we continue our journey at Whitney Young..

I scheduled an ophthalmology appointment for my daughter and arrived on time. We checked in and waited approximately 30 minutes before being told that she could not be seen because the practice was not accepting new patients. What makes this especially frustrating is that the appointment was already scheduled, confirmed, and we were checked in before anyone mentioned this. As a parent, I woke my child up early, arranged and paid for transportation, traveled to the office, and sat waiting only to be turned away. I understand that practices may have policies regarding new patients. However, that information should be communicated before scheduling an appointment, not after a family has already arrived and waited. The issue was not the policy itself. The issue was the lack of communication and the time and expense this caused. I hope the office improves its scheduling and intake process so other families do not have the same experience.

Tried for three weeks to get my son in for new patient appointment. You only have one shot to callat 8:00 am on MOdays. Fine. Three straight weeks of calling and waiting on hold for OVER an hour to be told to just try again next week. I literally had to clock in late twice. NO other operational way to get my son seen? They don't give a lick about helping, and they clearly don't care about us.

I went in two weeks ago for a physical and to meet Doctor Alexander Simao. I was on time. I was there for almost an hour waiting to see the doctor. A wonderful nurse was helping me and getting to know me as a person. She tells me the doctor will be in shortly to see you. Before that happens she comes back and goes your going to have to give us a urine. I’m not there for parole, probation or drug court. I’m there for a physical. I tell them where I’m at with life and this doctor has the audacity to tell that nurse before I see him we are going to drug test him. I was not there for a drug test. It was extremely dehumanizing and I left. You should listen to what I tell you and not what you want to think about what I said freely and upfront. I’m more than a drug test. I’m disgusted and will definitely not be back! This was in no way right. We are better than that people, come on. Medical services and treatments should be moving forward with the times, not BACKWARDS!!!!

I have been trying to schedule a dentist who takes Medicaid since last spring. I have over crowded teeth and am in pain. I made sure to call early enough to not be that person who calls around closing. I was on hold for over 3 hours and they closed while I was waiting for someone to pick up. I understand that things get busy but I spent the last hour of the call as “Caller 1”.
